Warhammer: The Old World – Defenders of the Great Bastion Army Reinforcement Set

Grand Cathay is sending reinforcements. And this isn’t just “a few extra models” – it’s a package that can define the style of your army: shooting, discipline, and Bastion defense.
The Reinforcement Set adds a mix of units to the game, capable of handling both masses and ranged targets. You’ll get:
- Peasant Levy – numerous and organized infantry for holding ground
- Iron Hail Gunners – close-range “shot storm” fire against anything that approaches
- Crane Gun Teams – precise long-range shooting (when you don’t want the enemy close)
- Astromancers – magic/utility + stylish accompanying “familiar” aesthetic
- Great “upgrade” for Cathay – more options in your list
- One purchase strengthens both core and support
- Gameplay: better area control and response to different matchups
- Hobby: unit mix = fun painting without monotony
Warhammer: The Old World – Arcane Journal: The Breaching of the Great Bastion

For Cathay players, this is a “must-have.” The Arcane Journal adds rules, lore, and new gameplay options – exactly the type of book that opens your army in depth.
It includes rules for key units (Astromancers, Crane Gun Teams, Iron Hail Gunners, Peasant Levy) along with new story content about the Land of the Dragons, its magic, and the conflict around the Great Bastion. It also provides new army composition options (including “special” themes) and a scenario for replaying the Battle of Nan-Li.
- New rules for Cathay units
- Lore + context (why these units are so important)
- New thematic army options
- Scenario for narrative gameplay
- The Old World players who want Cathay “fully”
- Narrative players (campaigns, scenarios, story)
- Collectors – beautiful book for the collection
- Anyone who wants better list-building options
The Horus Heresy – Myrmidon Destructor Host

“Smart people run away…” – Myrmidons are walking weapon platforms. And when they’re on the table, the whole battlefield starts looking more dangerous.
This boxed set builds six Myrmidon Destructors, offering super flexibility: either two units of three (more board coverage) or one larger unit (more “brick” feeling). Each model can carry either a darkfire cannon or irradiation engine, and all come equipped for close combat (because, Mechanicum, right?).
- Iconic “Mechanicum dread” look
- Strong shooting threat + loadout choice
- Flexible unit size (2×3 or 1×6)
- Awesome “heavy” addition to Skitarii
- Perfect for metallics + glow + hazard stripes
- Large surfaces for weathering and oils
- Each piece can have a distinct “forge” style
The Horus Heresy – Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Marshal

When Battle-Pilgrims form your core, you need someone to lead them. The Marshal is a field commander, representative of the Fabricator General – and a model you can customize exactly how you like.
The Marshal is highly customisable: multiple heads, more ranged weapons, more melee options + servo-skulls that give the miniature exactly the right “authority” vibe. He’s a hero/commander who looks great even if painted quickly – and can handle extreme detail if you want to go all out.
- Clear “command” miniature for Skitarii core
- Great for thematic lists (Loyalist or Traitor)
- Model that gives the army identity
- Top customization (you won’t have the same as others)
- Servo-skulls = extra detail for free
- Perfect “showpiece” even at small scale
The Horus Heresy – Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Corpus

The Marshal is great… but without a unit, he’s just a lonely commander. The Corpus is the core building block of Skitarii Conclaves – and a beautifully “grim-tech” unit.
The set contains 16 miniatures. In gameplay, you can field them as 2 squads (each 7 Battle-Pilgrym + Ordinator) or one larger unit. Each Pilgrym carries a voltlock arquebus – a refined volkite-style weapon that fits perfectly in Heresy.
Stylistically, you can also choose Loyalist or Traitor – so you can tune it exactly to your side in the conflict.
- Core unit – excellent for list-building
- Flexible composition (2× smaller / 1× larger)
- Strong “Mechanicum identity” feel
- Uniform army aesthetic (cables, metal, insignia)
- Great for “Mars” scheme and darker variants
- Quick painting: metallics + wash + highlight
The Horus Heresy – Vultarax Stratos-Automata

When even long metal legs aren’t enough, aerial superiority enters the field. Vultarax is a fast scout, relic hunter – and a problem for anyone who stands in the wrong place.
Vultarax moves on gravitic impellors and thrusters, flies ahead of the main force, scouts archeotech… and then destroys the target before anyone can say “that’s a really nice model.” Armed with a arc blaster and phosphex warheads, this is exactly the kind of stylish yet uncompromising Mechanicum firepower threat.
- Speed + threat projection (changes game tempo)
- Great complement to Pilgrims/Myrmidons
- Model that stands out on the table
- Perfect for glow effects and “engine heat”
- Looks luxurious even with simple paint scheme
- Great centerpiece for Mechanicum/Skitarii army section
