AMMO finishing effects help add depth to your models, enhance details and create realistic signs of use, ageing and environmental exposure. Here you will find washes, filters, pigments, streaking effects, products for mud, dust, rust and dirt, as well as specialist products for fine finishing work.
You can combine different types of effects to suit the style of your model – from subtle panel line enhancement and surface toning to heavy weathering on military vehicles, sci-fi vehicles, terrain or dioramas.
Washes enhance joints, rivets, panel lines and other recessed details. They help quickly add greater depth to the model and emphasise its structure.
Filters subtly alter the colour tone of the entire surface, unify individual shades and allow you to create gentle colour variations without covering fine details.
Streaks, dirt, oil stains and other operational grime give vehicles and machinery a realistic appearance of surfaces exposed to use and weathering.
Dry pigments can be used for dust, soil, soot, rust and other matt deposits. They are suitable for undercarriages, tracks, wheels, exhausts, terrain and dioramas.
Heavy Mud, Splashes and other textured mixtures allow you to create wet and dried mud, soil deposits and realistic dirt on the lower areas of a model.
Oilbrushers, Streakingbrushers, Effects Brushers and U-Rust make it easier to create subtle oil effects, streaking, rust and local colour variations without complicated preparation.
Start with a subtle wash or filter and gradually add stronger dirt, pigments, rust and mud. A combination of several lighter effects usually looks more natural than a single heavy layer. With enamel and oil-based products, you can also adjust the effect as you work and gradually build up the desired intensity.
