Airbrush
Airbrushes for precise painting of miniatures, models and terrain
An airbrush allows you to apply paint in fine, even layers and greatly expands your options when painting miniatures, vehicles, plastic models, terrain and dioramas. It is ideal for basecoating, smooth colour transitions, shading, modulation and more precise effect work.
When choosing an airbrush, the nozzle diameter and the way you plan to use it are particularly important. A finer nozzle is better suited to detailed work, while a more versatile diameter also handles larger areas and everyday basecoating comfortably.

An airbrush with a smaller nozzle offers greater control for smooth transitions, smaller areas and precisely placed colour effects.
A medium nozzle size is practical for basecoating, vehicles, terrain and general miniature painting, making it a versatile choice for a wide range of projects.
For proper operation, you will also need a suitable air source and, depending on your setup, additional accessories, cleaning tools, thinners or mediums designed for airbrushing.
Smaller nozzles, such as 0.2 mm, are mainly suited to finer work and require well-prepared paint. A nozzle around 0.3 mm is more forgiving and works well for both basecoating and more detailed painting. Whatever the nozzle size, always use properly thinned paint and clean the airbrush thoroughly after use.
