Gloomspite Gitz
– children of the Bad Moon: grots, squigs, and troggoths from the depths
The Gloomspite Gitz are a sneaky and vengeful rabble of grots and cave beasts, obsessed with the sight of the Bad Moon. They emerge from subterranean lairs and sow madness, fungus, and destruction, dreaming of an eternal twilight known as the Everdank, when damp darkness and mushrooms will overrun the entire world.
Marching under their banners are Moonclan Grots (Stabbas, Shootas, the crazed Fanatics, Squig Hoppers, and Boingrot Bounderz), poisonous Spiderfang Grots on the backs of Spider Riders, and the titanic Troggoths—from Rockguts and Fellwaters to the majestic Dankhold Troggbosses. Their leaders, like Skragrott the Loonking and Trugg, guide their mobs toward the next eruption of lunatic violence.
The heart of the cult is the Bad Moon—a monstrous celestial threat whose light brings mushroom mania, hallucinogenic magic, and bursts of brutal good fortune. Where it lingers, a fungal city grows around a Bad Moon Loonshrine, from which grots swarm, Mangler Squigs bounce, and shamans brew spores and spells from strange mushrooms.
On the battlefield, the Gitz win through trickery and pressure: waves of cheap grots bind opponents with nets, poisonous spiders corrode them, and squigs break a line with a single insane bounce. When the Bad Moon hangs over them, their courage and malice swell—and more and more swarms pour from the darkness.
