The Iron Hands were the Tenth Legion of the Legiones Astartes, led by the relentless and technocratic Primarch Ferrus Manus. They hail from the planet Medusa, where Manus became a legend after slaying the mechanical dragon Asirnoth – its metal forever fused with his flesh.

During the Horus Heresy, the Iron Hands were among the first to stand against the traitors at Isstvan V. Ferrus Manus tried to convince his closest brother, Fulgrim, to return to the Emperor – but was killed by Fulgrim’s own hand. The Iron Hands suffered devastating losses, yet the survivors became zealous warriors of vengeance.

The Iron Hands believe that “the flesh is weak” – striving to replace their mortal bodies with machinery. Their combat style focuses on brutal firepower, armoured formations, and mechanical resilience. In the Horus Heresy system, they field unique units such as Gorgon Terminators, Medusan Immortals, and Iron-Father Consuls.
