Night Lords were the VIII Legion of the Legiones Astartes, led by Konrad Curze, also known as the Night Haunter. They hailed from the planet Nostramo, a dark world consumed by crime, where Curze ruled as a bloody judge. Their warfare was based on psychological terror, night raids, and brutal repression.

The Night Lords always walked the edge of loyalty – their brutality was tolerated as long as it served the Imperium. During the Horus Heresy, they sided with the traitors but worshipped no specific Chaos god. Instead, they spread chaos through fear, murder, and atrocity. After Horus’s death, they fragmented into warlord bands that continue to terrorize the galaxy to this day.

In the Horus Heresy system, the Night Lords benefit from rules such as Seeds of Dread and Night Vision, enhancing attacks from the shadows and demoralizing enemies. Their units include Contekar Terminators, Night Raptors, Atrementar, and heroes such as Sevatar, Talos Valcoran, and Curze himself.
