Ultramarines were the Thirteenth Legion of the Legiones Astartes, led by the visionary Primarch Roboute Guilliman. They hail from the planet Macragge and rule the vast region of Ultramar, comprising over 500 worlds. Their culture draws inspiration from ancient Rome – emphasizing order, discipline, and law.

During the Horus Heresy, the Ultramarines were cut off from the main conflict by the Ruinstorm. Guilliman sought to create “Imperium Secundus” alongside Lion El’Jonson and Sanguinius to preserve order. Eventually, they joined the defense of Terra and played a crucial role in restoring the Imperium after the Heresy.

The Ultramarines are known for their tactical flexibility, combined arms operations, and powerful ranged formations. Their elite units like Invictarus Suzerains, Locutarus Storm Squads, or Nemesis Destroyers are equipped for precision warfare. In the Horus Heresy system, they gain access to rules such as “Strength and Wisdom” and the advanced reaction “Unity of Purpose.”
