The Black Templars are one of the most fanatical Chapters of the Adeptus Astartes. They were formed during the Second Founding as successors to the Imperial Fists, led by the legendary Sigismund, the first High Marshal. Since then, they have waged an endless crusade against all enemies of humanity – mutants, heretics, and xenos.

Unlike most Chapters, they have no home world – their strength lies in their fleet of warships, the largest of which is the Eternal Crusader. The Black Templars reject the Codex Astartes and instead maintain their own structure based on Crusade Squads led by paladins of faith.

Their fighting style is brutal and unyielding – they prefer close combat, often with chainswords and storm shields. Their units like the Crusader Squads, Sword Brethren, or Primaris Initiates are the embodiment of unyielding faith. In battle, they show no mercy – their motto is: "No Pity! No Remorse! No Fear!"

The Black Templars venerate the Emperor as a god, which is an exception among the Space Marines. They are the Templars of faith who wage holy wars throughout the galaxy – and their presence means no enemy will be spared.
