Warpaint Air
Warpaints Air – Airbrush-Ready Paints
Warpaints Air are acrylic paints by The Army Painter designed specifically for painting miniatures with an airbrush. Their consistency is optimised for spraying, making it easy to apply smooth base coats, subtle colour transitions, shadows and highlights without the need for complicated preparation or thinning of conventional thicker paints.
The wide range of colours makes them suitable for fantasy, sci-fi, historical and military models. Warpaints Air can be used for quickly applying a base coat to an entire miniature as well as for more precise shading and highlighting. The range is complemented by primer, varnishes, Airbrush Medium and cleaner for a complete airbrushing setup.

Warpaints Air have a consistency designed specifically for airbrush use. They allow you to start painting quickly without having to thin conventional thicker paints and find the correct ratio for your airbrush every time.
An airbrush is ideal for applying smooth, even base coats to armour, vehicles, monsters and other large surfaces. Apply the paint in several light passes rather than one heavy coat to preserve the fine details of the model.
For greater depth, combine darker, mid-tone and lighter shades. An airbrush allows you to gradually overlap individual colours and create smooth transitions without harsh edges between shadows and highlights.
If you need to adjust the flow or further modify the consistency of the paint, use Airbrush Medium. It is also useful when working with standard Warpaints that you want to prepare for use in an airbrush.
Matt Grey Primer prepares the surface of the model before painting. Once finished, you can use Matt, Satin or Gloss Varnish depending on whether you want the final surface to have a matt, satin or glossy finish.
Airbrush Cleaner helps remove acrylic paint residue from your airbrush. Regular flushing while painting and thorough cleaning after each session help keep the nozzle clean and your airbrush ready for its next use.
Shake the paint thoroughly before use and pour only a small amount into your airbrush. Start with several light coats and gradually build up coverage – a heavy wet coat may run and obscure fine details. For simple shading, apply a darker shade to the lower and shadowed areas of the model and spray a lighter shade from above onto areas where light would naturally fall. If the paint does not flow as required, adjust its consistency using Airbrush Medium. Always clean your airbrush thoroughly after use.
