But beware—some of your companions are secret saboteurs determined to lead the group astray and keep the gold for themselves. Trust No One in the Deep Mines
Saboteur is a masterclass in social deduction and psychological gameplay. Each round, players are secretly assigned a role: a hard-working Gold-digger or a cunning Saboteur. The Gold-diggers must lay tunnel cards to reach one of three goal cards, hoping it holds the treasure. Meanwhile, the Saboteurs work undercover to block paths, break equipment, and run down the clock. The fun lies in the uncertainty—sometimes a good dwarf has to play a bad card just to survive, making everyone a suspect!
Digging Your Way to Victory
- At the start of the round, secretly check your role card to see if you are a Gold-digger or a Saboteur.
- On your turn, play a tunnel card to the maze, use an action card, or discard and draw a new one.
- Use action cards to break others' tools (preventing them from digging) or repair your own gear to stay in the race.
- Win the round by reaching the gold as a digger, or by exhausting the deck as a saboteur before the goal is reached.
