Miniature Bases – the Foundation of Every Model
Bases provide stability for your miniatures while also forming the foundation for placing them within the gaming world. Here you will find bases for wargaming and collectible miniatures, replacement bases, as well as options designed for further decoration and creating your own custom basing.
When choosing a base, pay particular attention to its correct shape and size. For gaming miniatures, base size may be specified by the rules, so it is always a good idea to check the required dimensions for the specific model or gaming system.
The most common choice for many fantasy and sci-fi miniatures. They are available in various diameters depending on the size of the specific model.
Larger or elongated models, cavalry, monsters and other units may use oval bases in a variety of sizes.
Typically used for gaming systems featuring units arranged in regular ranks and formations, as well as for some older gaming systems.
Check the required dimensions before purchasing. A difference of just a few millimetres can be important for gameplay in some gaming systems.
A plain base can be enhanced with texture paste, sand, stones, cork, vegetation, rubble and other scenic materials.

First, check the size and shape specified for the particular miniature. If you are building a gaming army, we recommend following the base sizes used by the relevant gaming system. You can then customise the base to match your army's environment – for example, using earth, stones, textures, rubble or vegetation. Using the same materials and colours across your entire army will create a consistent look for all your miniatures.
