Static Grass
Static Grass – realistic grass for bases and terrain
Static grass allows you to create realistic grassy surfaces exactly the way you want them. Unlike ready-made grass tufts, it is applied directly to selected areas of a base or terrain, giving you complete control over the density, shape and size of the entire grassy surface.
You can choose from different shades and fibre lengths. Short 2 mm grass creates low, fine vegetation, the 4 mm version adds more volume to the terrain, while 6 mm fibres are ideal for taller and wilder vegetation. By combining several lengths and colour shades, you can create natural-looking meadows, forest edges, fields, steppes and overgrown battlefields.

The shortest fibres are ideal for low vegetation, smaller bases, roadsides or as the foundation for larger grassy areas. They also work well wherever you do not want the vegetation to obscure small terrain details.
The medium length creates a more pronounced grassy surface and is a versatile choice for bases, meadows, forest edges and gaming terrain. It can be used on its own or combined with shorter and longer fibres.
The longest version adds significant height and volume to the scene. It is ideal for overgrown meadows, areas around ruins, tall steppe vegetation and places that should look wild or long neglected.
Vibrant Spring offers a bright spring shade inspired by young vegetation, while Lush Summer creates a richer green summer growth. They are ideal for lush meadows, fantasy landscapes, watersides and other vibrant natural scenes.
Late Summer captures vegetation at the end of summer, while Autumn Fields shifts the surface towards drier autumn tones. They are ideal for realistic meadows, fields, rural terrain and scenes with less saturated vegetation.
Dry Grass is ideal for arid landscapes, steppes, dry battlefields or neglected vegetation. Hay resembles dried grass and straw, making it suitable for fields, rural scenes, dry meadows and other warm-toned natural surfaces.
First, create and paint the basic ground surface. Apply glue to the areas where you want the grass to grow, then add the static fibres. For smaller areas, you can apply them easily by hand, while larger grassy surfaces benefit from an electrostatic applicator such as Grassmatic, which helps the fibres stand upright. For more realistic terrain, combine not only different colours but also different fibre lengths: for example, use 2 mm grass as the base, add 4 mm grass irregularly in selected areas and use 6 mm fibres only in smaller groups for the tallest vegetation. Finally, you can enhance the scene with grass tufts, moss, bushes, leaves and other vegetation.
