Grass tufts
Grass Tufts – Quick Vegetation for Bases and Dioramas
Grass tufts are one of the easiest ways to add three-dimensional vegetation to miniature bases, dioramas, or gaming terrain. Simply remove the ready-made self-adhesive tufts, place them on the prepared surface, and in just a few moments you can create small patches of grass, tall wild vegetation, shrubs, or striking fantasy flora.
Our range includes classic 6mm tufts in natural shades, tall XXL 22mm variants, Shrub Tufts, irregular Thorny Scrubs, and fluorescent Martian Fluor Tufts for sci-fi and fantasy worlds. Thanks to the different heights, textures, and colours, you can adapt the vegetation to almost any environment.

Classic 6mm self-adhesive tufts are a versatile choice for most miniature bases and dioramas. Shades such as Light Green, Realistic Green, Dark Green, Dry Green, Dry Brown, or Beige allow you to create everything from lush meadows and woodland vegetation to dry landscapes.
XXL tufts with a height of 22 mm are designed for tall grass and striking wild vegetation. They are ideal around ruins, in overgrown areas, along riverbanks, in jungles, or on larger dioramas where standard low tufts do not provide enough volume.
Shrub Tufts combine a compact structure with more distinctive colours and are ideal for creating small bushes, flowers, or colourful accents in the landscape. Green, brown, white, orange, or purple variants make it easy to break up the uniform appearance of traditional grass.
Thorny Scrubs are perfect wherever you need rougher and more irregular vegetation than standard grass tufts. They work especially well for scrubland, wastelands, overgrown ruins, wilderness, or hostile fantasy and sci-fi terrain.
Fluorescent tufts in neon green, pink, orange, blue, and purple shades are designed for alien vegetation and striking fantasy bases. Use them for alien planets, magical environments, radioactive wastelands, or other unusual worlds.
Choose the colour according to the environment you are creating. Light Green and Realistic Green are ideal for vibrant vegetation, Dark Green for deeper woodland tones, Dry Green and Dry Brown for dry vegetation, Beige for steppe landscapes, and Winter White for cold or snowy scenes.
First finish the base with its basic texture, soil, stones, and paint. Then carefully remove the tufts with tweezers and arrange them irregularly – they look especially natural around rocks, roots, walls, paths, and other obstacles. The self-adhesive backing allows for quick placement, but on rough or heavily textured surfaces it is a good idea to secure each tuft with a small drop of PVA glue. For a more realistic result, combine several sizes and shades: use classic 6mm tufts as the base, Shrub Tufts or Thorny Scrubs for denser vegetation, and XXL 22mm tufts only in selected areas as the tallest growth. For fantasy and sci-fi scenes, you can complement natural shades with striking Martian Fluor Tufts.
