Fanatic

The Army Painter

Warpaints Fanatic – paints for detailed miniature painting

Warpaints Fanatic is an extensive range of Army Painter acrylic paints designed for traditional brush painting of miniatures. It offers a wide selection of shades for basecoats, shadows, highlights and the finest details, complemented by metallic paints, washes and special effect products.

Fanatic is suitable for both beginners and experienced painters who want full control over each step of the painting process. The paints can be used directly for opaque layers or thinned as needed for finer layering, transitions and advanced techniques.

Warpaints Fanatic – classic acrylic paints

The main part of the range for traditional brush painting. Here you will find a wide palette of colours for basecoats, shadows, highlights, colour transitions and fine details on miniatures.

Fanatic Metallics – metallic surfaces

Metallic paints are ideal for weapons, armour, chains, machinery and other metal parts. Different shades allow you to work with both light and dark metals and create convincing shadows and highlights.

Fanatic Washes – quick shading

Washes are thin paints that flow easily into recesses and around details. They help quickly create depth, emphasise the relief of a miniature and visually separate individual parts of the model.

Fanatic Effects – special effects

Effect products are designed for specific finishes and techniques, such as blood, rust, slime, glowing effects or operational grime. This section also includes other auxiliary products from the Fanatic range.

Paint sets – an easier choice

If you do not want to choose every shade individually, you can start with one of the paint sets. Smaller sets are ideal for building your first palette or working on a specific project, while larger collections offer colours for a wide range of miniatures.

From basecoat to fine detail

Fanatic can form the foundation of an entire traditional painting process. Start with a base colour, add shading with a darker shade or wash, and gradually highlight raised areas with lighter tones.

Fanatic or Speedpaint 2.0?

Choose Fanatic if you want to paint traditionally with a brush and have separate control over the base colour, shadows and highlights. Speedpaint 2.0, on the other hand, is primarily designed for a faster painting process, where a single transparent layer helps create both the base colour and differences between raised and recessed areas at the same time. For more detailed, multi-layered painting, Fanatic is the more versatile system, while Speedpaint helps speed up the process when painting larger numbers of miniatures.
