Cork Rocks
Terraform Cork Rock – Cork for Rocks, Stones and Realistic Terrain
Terraform Cork Rock is a lightweight cork material designed for creating stones, rocks, rubble and uneven surfaces on miniature bases, dioramas and gaming terrain. The irregular shape of the cork naturally resembles real rocks and, once painted, can be easily blended into the surrounding terrain.
You can use the cork on its own or combine it with texture pastes, earth, sand and vegetation. Thanks to its low weight, it is also suitable for creating larger quantities of stones and rocks without unnecessarily adding weight to the base or the entire terrain structure.

Individual pieces of cork can be used as stones and irregular rock fragments on miniature bases as well as larger terrain pieces.
Smaller pieces are ideal for rubble, rocky paths, areas around ruins or creating a natural transition between larger rocks and earth.
Cork is very lightweight and can be broken, cut or combined as needed to create larger terrain structures.
Apply earth, sand or Acrylic Mud around the cork rocks. This helps blend the transitions and makes the rocks look like a natural part of the landscape.
Once glued in place, prime and paint the cork just like the rest of the terrain. A wash will enhance the recesses, while drybrushing quickly brings out the edges and rock texture.
The material can be used for anything from a few stones on a miniature base to rocky slopes, ruins and larger gaming terrain pieces.
First, arrange the cork pieces without glue and combine different sizes so the terrain does not look too uniform. Then glue the individual pieces in place and cover the surrounding areas with texture paste, earth or sand. Once dry, prime the entire surface, paint it and enhance the details with washes and drybrushing. Finally, add static grass, tufts, moss or bushes. For a more natural result, leave some rocks protruding from the ground while partially embedding others into the terrain.
