Putties for filling gaps, repairs and model surface preparation
Modelling putties are useful for filling gaps between parts, repairing small imperfections, concealing joins and refining the surface of miniatures, plastic models and dioramas. They help create cleaner transitions between individual components before priming and painting.
Depending on the type of work, you can use a fine liquid putty for small gaps or a thicker modelling putty for larger gaps, repairs and more extensive surface adjustments.

Putty helps conceal visible gaps between glued parts and creates a smoother join before sanding and painting.
Use it for small dents, scratches, uneven areas or damaged spots that need to be levelled before finishing the model.
Thicker putties are also useful for larger model modifications, replacing missing material and creating smooth transitions between parts.
Apply putty in smaller amounts and remove any excess while working. Once fully cured, the surface can be gently sanded and checked under a coat of primer. Liquid putty is usually more practical for very fine gaps, while larger gaps require a thicker material.
