Quick Gen – Fast Contrast Paints for Miniatures
AK Interactive Quick Gen are acrylic paints designed for fast miniature painting, delivering strong contrast and depth in a single coat. Their special consistency allows the paint to naturally flow away from raised areas and collect more heavily in recesses, creating a base colour, lighter raised areas and darker shadows in a single step.
Quick Gen is ideal for quickly painting entire armies, gaming miniatures and individual models. The wide range includes vibrant fantasy and sci-fi colours, skin and natural tones, military shades and metallic colours. They work best over a light-coloured primer, which helps preserve the brightness and contrast of the final shade.

Quick Gen uses different amounts of paint across the surface of the miniature. The layer remains lighter on raised areas, while more pigment collects in the recesses. This allows you to create both the base colour and natural shading with a single coat.
The strongest contrast effect is achieved over a light-coloured primer. A white or very light primer helps preserve the brightness of the colours, while a grey base produces a more muted result. The darker the basecoat, the less visible the contrast effect will be.
Dwarf Flesh, Vivid Flesh, Vampire Flesh, Dark Flesh, Wood, Dark Leather, Bone Brown and other shades allow you to quickly paint skin, leather, wood, bone and other organic or natural parts of miniatures.
Bile Yellow, Warm Orange, Crimson Red, Demon Purple, Vivid Green and other rich shades are ideal for fantasy armies, monsters, armour, fabrics and striking sci-fi models. Their fast application is particularly useful when painting larger numbers of similar miniatures.
British Uniform, US Olive Uniform, Field Grey, German Grey, Dark Green, Desert Sand and other more subdued colours expand the Quick Gen range for historical and military models, uniforms, equipment and more natural colour schemes.
Gold, Bronze, Copper, Cold Steel and other metallic shades allow you to paint weapons, armour, mechanical parts and decorative metallic details using the same fast painting method. This means you do not need to switch to a different paint system when finishing metallic details.
First prepare the miniature with a light-coloured primer and shake the paint thoroughly before use. Apply Quick Gen generously enough to allow it to naturally flow into the recesses, while keeping an eye on areas where too much paint begins to pool. Excess paint can be removed with a clean brush while it is still wet. Then allow the layer to dry thoroughly before continuing with additional colours. For quick tabletop-ready miniatures, a single coat may be sufficient, while more detailed models can be further enhanced with traditional acrylic paints, edge highlights and additional details.
