Abaddon Black

Use: Black armour joints, flexible components, cables and selected mechanical details.

Additional details

Corax White

Use: White heraldic symbols, markings and selected decorative areas of the armour.

Macragge Blue

Use: Blue energy details on the grav-pistol, if this option is selected during assembly.

Bugman's Glow

Use: Base skin tone for the face if the miniature is assembled with an unhelmeted head.

Rhinox Hide

Use: Dark brown leather components, holsters and small straps, if present on the chosen assembly.

Shading

Citadel Medium Base Brush

Use: Applying base colours to the armour, servo-arm and larger mechanical surfaces.

Citadel Small Layer Brush

Use: Painting small details, insignia, the face and edge highlights.

Recommended AMMO ATOM paint palette.

Primer

AMMO MIG One Shot Primer Black

Use: Black primer applied to the entire miniature before painting the red armour and metallic details.

Main model colours

ATOM COLOR Pure Red

Use: Use ATOM COLOR Pure Red to create a consistent red basecoat on the main plates of the power armour. You can also use the same colour to unify the red casings of the mechanical equipment, helping the individual parts of the miniature appear as a cohesive whole.

ATOM COLOR Matt Black

Use: Use ATOM COLOR Matt Black to distinguish the red armour plates from the dark structural components. Focus particularly on the gaps between individual armour sections, moving joints and visible cables, where black will help emphasise the miniature's mechanical construction.

ATOM COLOR Steel

Use: Apply the steel shade of ATOM COLOR Steel to the exposed metal structures of the servo-arm, mechadendrites and working tools. This gives the metallic surfaces a different finish from the red armour, allowing the Techmarine's technical equipment to stand out more clearly.

ATOM COLOR Gold

Use: Use ATOM COLOR Gold as a contrasting metallic shade for selected decorative elements and insignia. You can also add small gold accents to details of the Omnissian power axe, visually distinguishing its decorative components from the steel surfaces.

Additional details

ATOM COLOR Matt White

Use: Use ATOM COLOR Matt White to paint small white markings, heraldic motifs or contrasting decorative details. White can also be used as a basecoat for selected lighter elements where you want to achieve a stronger colour contrast.

ATOM COLOR Dark Blue

Use: You can use ATOM COLOR Dark Blue to distinguish selected details of the grav-pistol when assembling the miniature with this weapon. The blue shade creates a contrast with the red armour and allows you to highlight chosen parts of the weaponry without changing the overall colour scheme.

ATOM COLOR Light Flesh

Use: Base skin tone for the exposed face, if present, subsequently darkened with shading.

ATOM COLOR Dark Brown

Use: ATOM COLOR Dark Brown is suitable for painting small accessories in a dark brown shade. If your chosen version of the miniature includes elements you want to represent as leather or another brown material, use this colour to distinguish them from the black and metallic components.

Shading

ATOM COLOR Dark Wash

Use: Dark wash for shading the metallic components of the servo-arm, mechadendrites and recesses in the red armour.

ATOM COLOR Flesh Wash

Use: Subtle wash for shading the exposed face and enhancing skin details.

Highlights

ATOM COLOR Bright Red

Use: Apply the more vibrant shade of ATOM COLOR Bright Red in thin lines along the illuminated edges of the red armour plates. Place the strongest accents on the raised sections of the armour and the servo-arm casings to help define the individual shapes more clearly.

ATOM COLOR Silver

Use: Use ATOM COLOR Silver sparingly on the most prominent edges of the steel components. Subtle silver accents on the servo-arm joints, mechanical tools and power axe blade will create the impression of reflected light and emphasise the metallic character of these details.

Assembly and tools

AMMO MIG Ultra Glue

Use: Recommended adhesive for small modelling details and accessories. For a strong bond between the main plastic components, a specialised polystyrene cement is suitable.

AMMO MIG Synthetic Brush

Use: Applying ATOM base colours to larger areas of the red armour and mechanical components.

AMMO MIG Kolinsky Brush

Use: Painting small details, insignia, the face and precise edge highlights.
