Product detailed description
Shrubs TUFTS - 6mm FROSTED SNOW - BURNT
Self-adhesive Shrubs TUFTS 6mm Frosted Snow - Burnt combine dark burnt vegetation with a fresh frost effect. They bring an instant atmosphere of freezing winter to your bases and terrain without complicated snow application.
About the product
Creating convincing winter vegetation can be tricky—standard artificial snow often clumps fibers into a shapeless blob or flakes off after drying. Shrubs TUFTS in Frosted Snow - Burnt variant deliver a ready-to-use solution in the form of 6mm dark burnt shrub tufts with a delicate frosty dusting. The contrast between the dark brown base and white frost instantly creates the feel of a harsh, frozen battlefield. Just peel the tuft from the backing sheet with tweezers and press onto the base.
Green Stuff World - Tufts & Vegetation
Properties
- Height 6 mm – ideal scale for standard 28-32mm wargaming miniatures, creating the look of realistic low bushes and dense tufts.
- Self-adhesive backing – bottom glue layer holds the tufts together and makes them easy to peel from the sheet and temporarily place on terrain.
- Frosty contrast Frosted Snow – delicate white patina on a dark burnt base creates an immediate look of frozen grass and early winter without needing extra snow application.
Tufts height 6 mm, natural dark brown to burnt base with frost and icy snow effect, self-adhesive backing, high fiber density
Tips and tricks
| Product type | Quick overview |
|---|---|
| Use | Creation of snowy, frosty, and burnt or fallen vegetation on miniature bases, winter dioramas, and gaming terrain |
| Specific application | Basing autumn and winter wargaming armies, frozen forest paths, burnt battlefields covered with first snow, and snow-capped ruins |
| Method and technique | Bases for fantasy and sci-fi armies, snow-covered forest paths, burnt battlefields in winter settings, icy rock ledges and ruins |
| Advantages | Immediate frosty effect without applying artificial snow, easy handling with tweezers, tufts don't shed and keep their shape during gaming handling |
| What to watch for | Self-adhesive layer may not hold long-term on rough or dirty surfaces without additional glue |
| Combination | Modeling tweezers, PVA glue or cyanoacrylate superglue for an extra strong bond, powdered artificial snow, winter effect pigments |
| Practical tip | Even though the tufts have a self-adhesive layer, add a small drop of PVA glue under the tuft when applying to rough gravel or textured base surfaces. This ensures the tuft won't come off unless the base itself breaks. |
How to use
Using modeling tweezers, peel the selected tuft from the backing plastic sheet. We recommend applying a drop of PVA or superglue to the underside and pressing onto the desired spot on the base or terrain. Allow to dry briefly.
Materials and surfaces
Synthetic static fibers with frosty dusting on adhesive backing
Believable frozen crystal and snow dusting effect stays firmly on the fibers and doesn't flake off even during frequent transport and gaming
