Skip the frustrating experiments with filler and paint combinations. This specialized effect paste features a calibrated fine grit that perfectly scales down the texture of real-world asphalt tarmac. Its deep dark grey tone mimics newer pavement, but it can be easily lightened with drybrushing or earth pigments to replicate sun-bleached, aged highway stretches. It works smoothly right out of the jar onto any base material from plastic to wood and foam. The dense consistency allows you to shape ragged road edges, bomb craters, or heavy tire ruts with ease. Once fully cured, it forms a robust, chemically stable surface that safely handles subsequent enamel washes, oil paints, or fuel-stain effects.
