Brushes for basecoating and larger areas of miniatures
Base brushes are designed primarily for applying base colours to larger areas of miniatures. They are ideal for armour, fabric, skin, cloaks, vehicles and other surfaces where you need to apply paint evenly and efficiently.
Thanks to their greater bristle capacity, they hold more paint than fine detail brushes, making them comfortable to use for initial coats as well as for painting larger areas of a model.
Ideal for applying the first layers of colour to larger areas of a miniature after priming.
Well suited to armour, cloaks, skin, vehicles and other areas where a small detail brush would be unnecessarily slow.
The larger amount of bristles allows the brush to hold more paint and apply it more smoothly without constant reloading.
A medium-sized Base brush is a practical choice for standard infantry miniatures. A wider version is better suited to larger models, monsters or vehicles, while a smaller Base brush offers greater control on more complex surfaces. For very small details, a Layer or Detail brush is the better choice.
