Fanatic Effects
Fanatic Effects – Blood, Rust, Glow and Special Effects
Fanatic Effects expand the classic Warpaints Fanatic range with special effects and auxiliary products for finishing miniatures. Here you will find paints for blood, rust, slime, oil stains and glowing elements, as well as primer, varnishes and mediums for adjusting the properties of acrylic paints.
Effect paints are especially useful during the final stages of painting, when you want to add a specific material effect, weathering or striking detail to your model. Instead of having to mix several different shades, you can simply reach for a product designed specifically to create the desired effect.

True Blood and Dry Blood allow you to distinguish between fresher and dried blood effects. Disgusting Slime and Oozing Vomit are ideal for creating slimy, organic and fantasy details on miniatures, monsters and bases.
Dark Rust and Fresh Rust are designed for creating different shades of rusty weathering, while Verdigris helps create the characteristic patina found on copper and similar-looking metallic surfaces.
Oil Stains can be used to create greasy and oily marks on engines, machinery, weapons and other mechanical parts. Apply the effect locally to areas where operating fluids would naturally accumulate.
Plasma Coil Glow, Data System Glow, Lens Flare Glow, Radiation Glow and Power Node Glow are designed for striking light and energy effects – such as plasma weapons, screens, lenses, power sources and other sci-fi details.
Brush-On Primer allows you to prepare the surface of a miniature with a brush when you do not want to or cannot use a spray primer. Matt Varnish and Gloss Varnish protect the finished paintwork while allowing you to choose between a matt or glossy final finish.
Warpaints Retarder slows the drying time of acrylic paints and extends the working time for blending and mixing. Warpaints Stabilizer is suitable for thinning and adjusting paint consistency while maintaining an even and stable distribution of pigment.
First paint the miniature with your base colours, then add the special effect only where it is actually needed. Blood, rust, oil and slime look more natural when applied irregularly and locally rather than covering a large area. For glow effects, work outward from the light source and gradually reduce the intensity towards the surrounding areas. Use Brush-On Primer to prepare the surface, and protect the finished miniature with Matt Varnish or Gloss Varnish depending on the desired finish.
