Panel Line Wash (35 Ml)
Panel Line Wash – precise definition of panel lines and fine details
Panel Line Washes are highly fluid enamel washes designed primarily to highlight panel lines, engraved lines, joints, rivets, and other recessed details. Thanks to capillary action, the wash flows easily into recessed areas and creates a subtle shadow that enhances the structure of the model without the need for complicated shading techniques.
The wide range of shades allows you to match the panel line effect to the base colour of your model instead of using one universal black. PLW is particularly useful for aircraft, military vehicles, ships, trains, and sci-fi models where you want to maintain clean and precisely defined details.

Light Grey, Medium Grey, or Deep Grey allow you to create different levels of panel line definition without the harsh contrast of pure black. They are especially useful when you want a softer and more natural-looking shadow.
Deep Brown, Neutral Brown, Green Brown, Orange Brown, and other brown variants are ideal for creating more natural shading on warmer, green, earthy, and military colours.
Dark Sea Blue, Blue Grey, Blue Black, or Blue Dirt help define recessed details on blue, grey, and other cool-coloured surfaces without creating an overly harsh black result.
On a very dark model, even darker panel lines may be difficult to see. A lighter PLW shade can instead subtly highlight recessed lines and the structure of the model while creating a more interesting contrast.
Medium Tan, Dust, Ochre for Sand Camo, or Shadow for Desert Brown are suitable for sandy and desert colours where traditional black panel lining may appear too harsh.
The shade does not always need to be as dark as possible. By choosing a colour close to the base coat, you can define individual panels, rivets, and recessed lines while maintaining a softer and more natural appearance.
Base your choice mainly on the colour of the model and the level of contrast you want to achieve. On light surfaces, a grey or brown shade often looks more natural than pure black, while a lighter PLW can also work well on very dark surfaces. Apply the wash into the panel line with a fine brush and allow capillary action to draw it along the recessed detail. Once partially dry, remove or adjust any excess with a clean brush lightly moistened with enamel thinner. A smooth gloss surface helps the wash flow more easily and makes excess product easier to remove.
