Citadel sprays for fast undercoating and preparing Warhammer miniatures
Citadel sprays allow you to prepare miniatures quickly and evenly before further painting. An undercoat spray creates a consistent layer that you can build on with Base, Layer, Shade, Contrast and other paints from the Citadel Colour system.
Alongside versatile black, white and grey shades, you will also find coloured and metallic sprays that can significantly speed up the creation of an army’s main colour scheme. The range also includes a protective spray varnish for the final finishing of already painted miniatures.
A spray quickly creates an even base across the entire miniature and prepares the surface for further layers of paint. A correctly applied primer helps create a clean and consistent starting surface.
A black undercoat creates a darker starting tone, while white and lighter shades help keep colours brighter. Wraithbone and Grey Seer are also suitable as light undercoats for working with Contrast paints.
A coloured spray can also serve as the main colour of the model and save time when painting larger armies. Metallic variants are suitable, for example, for armour and metal surfaces, while varnish helps protect the finished model.
Shake the spray thoroughly before use and apply it from a suitable distance in short, smooth passes. Do not try to cover the model completely with one heavy coat – several light layers help preserve fine details and create a more even surface. Use the spray only in a well-ventilated area and always follow the instructions provided on the specific product.
