Product detailed description
Okurkočky
Okurkočky is a brisk and humorous trick-taking card game where you try to get rid of all your cats before the dreaded pickled cucumbers approach. The goal of each round is to avoid taking the last trick, as that is what brings penalty points. Thanks to easy rules and fast-paced gameplay, it offers great entertainment for families with children and groups of friends.
About the Game Okurkočky
Okurkočky is based on the classic Nordic trick-taking game Agurka (Cucumber), set in a crazy world of cats who have an insurmountable fear of green cucumbers. In each round, players play numbered cards and try to cleverly manage the high and low numbers in their hand. The key is not to play the highest card in the last trick of the entire round – whoever takes the last trick receives a penalty cucumber card. The game continues until one of the players collects the designated number of penalty cucumbers.
Tactical trumping
Proper timing of playing the highest and lowest cards determines who takes home the penalty cucumber.
Why the Game Entertains
- Funny theme of cats fleeing from cucumbers accompanied by humorous illustrations.
- Proven trick-taking gameplay principle with high suspense until the very last turn of the round.
- Compact pocket-sized packaging ideal for travel, family evenings, and visits to the pub.
The game excels through a dynamic combination of simple choices, tactical planning, and mischievous bluffing. Tension escalates with every card played, and the climax in the final trick brings plenty of fun moments. In addition, the funny expressions of the cats on the cards will entertain both young and adult players.
