DIO Drybrush – AMMO paints for the drybrush technique
DIO Drybrush is a range of AMMO paints designed specifically for the drybrush technique. It helps you quickly highlight raised edges, textures and fine details on a model, adding greater depth and a more three-dimensional appearance to the surface.
The range includes lighter shades for highlighting and creating a worn appearance, as well as darker colours, metallic shades, rust tones and colours suitable for chipping effects. They can be used on miniatures, vehicles, buildings, terrain, dioramas, and fantasy and sci-fi models.
Drybrushing deposits paint mainly on the raised parts of the model, making it easy to highlight edges, reliefs, textures and other fine details.
DIO Drybrush has a formula designed specifically for the drybrush technique, making the paint easy to pick up and transfer to the model surface in a controlled way.
Lighter colours can be used to highlight edges, simulate light and create a worn or dusty appearance.
Metallic variants are suitable for weapons, armour, machinery and other metal surfaces where you want to quickly pick out edges and the structure of the material.
Rust and darker shades can be used to create wear, scratches, corrosion and other weathering effects on vehicles and terrain.
The technique works well on textured surfaces such as stone, masonry, wood, fur, armour, vehicle tracks and uneven terrain.
Pick up a small amount of paint and wipe off the excess on a paper towel or cloth until the brush leaves only a very faint mark. Then lightly brush over the raised parts of the model. It is better to build up several light layers than to apply too much paint at once – the result will be cleaner and easier to control.
