Drybrush
Brushes for drybrushing and quickly highlighting textures
Dry brushes are designed for the drybrushing technique, where only a small amount of paint is left on the brush and raised areas of the model are highlighted with light strokes. This technique makes it possible to quickly create highlights and bring out surface texture.
They are particularly useful for fur, stone, metallic surfaces, armour, terrain, bases and other heavily textured areas of miniatures and models.

Drybrushing mainly catches the raised areas of a surface, quickly bringing out relief, edges and the texture of the model.
Works particularly well on textured surfaces such as fur, rocks, ruins, bases and modelling terrain.
Dry brushes are designed to withstand repeated brushing across pronounced textures that would be unnecessarily harsh on fine detail brushes.
Load the brush with a small amount of paint and wipe most of it off on a paper towel or suitable surface until the brush leaves only a very faint trace. Then lightly brush across the raised areas of the model. Several light layers will usually give you a better result than one heavy application.
